How to Install Print Server 2012 R2

Step 1: Open the server manager dashboard in the task bar. Click on ‘Add roles and features‘.

Step 3: Select a role-based or feature-based installation and click Next.

Step 4: Select the local printer server for this configuration and click Next.

Step 5: Select Print & text resources from server fields and when a new window appears, click Add Features.

Step 6: Click Next.

Step 7: Leave the default selection and click Next.

Step 8: Click Next.

Step 9: Select Print Server and click Next.

Step 11: Click: Close after successful installation.

Designing Print Server 2012 R2

Step 1: Open the print server management console. Right-click Prints located under your printer server machine and click Add Printer.

Step 2: Attach the printer to your computer. Select the correct port to which your printer is connected.

Step 3: Select “Use existing computer driver” if you have existing printer drivers otherwise select “Install new driver” and follow the wizard. Click Next.

Step 4: Give a friendly name to your printer and share it with other users on the network. Click Next

Step 5: Click Next to complete the printer installation.

Step 6: Click Finish.

Step 7: Also, navigate to the printer management console and right-click on the printer icon. Click Manage Sharing. Go to the Sharing tab and check out both options as shown in the image. Click Apply and OK.
