Ivana Trump, the first wife of former President Donald Trump, has died  at the age of 73, the Trump family confirmed in a statement. 

She died in her home in New York City, Trump said in the post on Truth Social.

She  grew up in the former Czechoslovakia under communist rule and left in  the 1970s. She married her second husband, Trump, in 1977

Ivana, a Czech-American socialite, businesswoman, and former model, was married to Donald Trump from 1977 to 1992

his three eldest children, Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump, and Eric Trump.

Ivana Trump grew up in the former Czechoslovakia, before moving to  Canada in the 1970s, where she became a model. She married Donald Trump  in 1977

Our mother was an incredible woman—a force in business, a world-class  athlete, a radiant beauty, and caring mother and friend,” the Trump  family said in a statement, per ABC News.

Ivana Trump was a survivor. She fled from communism and embraced this  country. She taught her children about grit and toughness, compassion  and determination.”

She worked as a model in the early ’70s, and met her future husband Donald Trump in New York City in 1976.

She was always very nice to us, very friendly ... we will miss her."

Ivana Trump is survived by her three adult children, Donald, Ivanka and Eric, as well as several grandchildren
